1. Personal information we collect, how we use it, and how we share it

When you interact with our Services, we collect your personal information. Personal information is information that identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual.

When we collect information from you

We will collect your personal information from you when you:

  • Create a Financial Advisor Account. We collect your personal identifiers (name, username, and password) and employment information (employer name, business email, business telephone number, business address). This is used to set up and authorize your account. Information is shared with our identity provider and added to our marketing list.

  • Create a Client Account. We collect your personal identifiers (name, email address, username, and password) to set up your account and verify your identity via a third-party provider.

  • Complete the “Book a Demo” form. We collect your identifiers (name, email, phone) and any text in the Description field to respond and send future marketing emails.

  • Subscribe to our Email List. We collect identifiers and employment information to send marketing emails. You may unsubscribe anytime. Emails contain tracking tech to analyze recipient actions.

  • Interact with us on social media.

    • Social Media Pages. We collect your identifiers and posted content to communicate and share publicly.

    • Community Management. We analyze likes, shares, and messages to improve marketing.

    • Direct Messages. Social platforms collect network activity (IP, browser info, etc.)—we do not use this data.

  • Automatic Data Collection via the Services. We use cookies to collect electronic network activity and improve Services. Cookies help with:

    • Tracking within the Services

    • Enhancing user experience

    • Analytics and performance

    • Fraud prevention and error tracking

  • Google Analytics. We use this service to understand user behavior. Google may place or read cookies and combine usage data with partner app info. Opt out using the browser add-on.

When we collect information from a third party about you

  • Financial Advisor connects to our Services. With your consent, we collect identifiers, financial account info, sensitive data, employment details, and supporting documentation from your account custodian. This info is shared with our data storage provider.

Aggregate data

We aggregate data for benchmarking, marketing, and internal analytics in deidentified form. We will not attempt to reidentify the data unless legally required.

Altafid will also use your personal data as described above to comply with laws, maintain operations, and under certain circumstances outlined in the sharing section below.




 

2. Data retention

We delete personal information once it is no longer needed for operational purposes unless:

  • Compliance with our legal obligations. (e.g., for accounting or legal compliance)

  • Meeting our safety and security commitments. (e.g., fraud prevention)

  • Exercising or defending legal claims. (e.g., litigation or government requests)




 

3. How we share your personal information

General sharing

Altafid shares personal information in the following instances:

  • Within Altafid. For internal use like accounting and support. Access is restricted to necessary personnel.

  • With service providers. For support with security, hosting, marketing, identity verification, and communication.

  • In the event of a corporate reorganization. During transactions like mergers or bankruptcy, with relevant third parties.

  • For legal purposes. When required by law, regulation, legal claims, enforcement, or investigations.

  • With your consent. For specific purposes after requesting and receiving your permission.

We may also share de-identified data in marketing materials and business collaborations.




 

4. General information choice

You can manage your personal information as follows:

  • Opt-out of marketing email trackers. You can disable tracking by disabling the display of images by default in your email program.

  • Opt-out of marketing communications. You may opt-out of receiving marketing emails from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” link provided with each email. Please note that we will continue to send you emails necessary to the Services or any assistance or services you request.

  • Opt out of other cookies. All session cookies are temporary and expire after you close your web browser. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser’s directions. 5. Do not track

We do not respond to Do Not Track browser requests.

We implement reasonable security (encryption, access controls) but cannot guarantee 100% protection of your data online.




 

7. Age restriction

Our Services are not for users under 18. If data from a minor is found, we will delete it. Contact support@altafid.com for concerns.

We may update this notice anytime. Changes will be posted on this page with the effective date. Material changes may trigger notification and consent requests.
